Clinical hypnotherapy, what it means to me and how it can help me to help you.
As many of you may know, or some of you may not yet know, I am already qualified as a Master Hypnotherapist. I love the ways that we can use these wonderful, and natural, techniques to so quickly change things in our lives that we don’t want. I’ve personally used hypnosis to rid myself of an old phobia I no longer had any use for, and on a more day to day basis I love the deep relaxation techniques, very akin to meditation, that allow me to leave stresses behind and very quickly re-energise!
These hypnotherapy skills have allowed me to also help others who have been having problems in their lives, with great results. So why do I need to do more? For me the clinical hypnotherapy training was a chance to take the time out from life, while learning more about how hypnotherapy can help both me and you. I had a chance to learn, and practice new skills, and to share knowledge with some great hypnotherapists (both the trainers and the other hypnotherapists). It’s a lovely experience too as the training is carried out in a light to medium trance, which allows us to feel deeply relaxed and at the same time learn at an accelerated rate. If you want to know more about the “learning state”, the “now state”, or hakalau, please give me a call. That on it’s own will change the way you look at things.
One of the lovely things I gained was the chance to receive a whole load of hypnotherapy myself, so you can only imagine how relaxed I’ve been and still am. You can only imagine how keen I am right now to work with you on any problems you have.
I’ve learned new techniques, updated a whole load of my usual techniques and got focus on certain areas I didn’t necessarily have before. For instance the whole clinical side of hypnotherapy, from stopping smoking to hypnoanalgesia, has adapted during and since my training being the main focus of the training. The stop smoking techniques that I used to use have changed, and the weight loss has become even more streamlined. One of the greatest things I got from the training was that my therapies are becoming even more adaptive to you, each session becoming even more personalised so you get only the very best from me! It may sound like a sales talk, for which I apologise, but I’m sure you can guess just how enthused I am right now.
So what exactly is the difference between a hypnotherapist, a master hypnotherapist and a clinical hypnotherapist? When you first learn hypnotherapy, just as when you first learn any new skill, you tend to work within a framework. So when you first do a session with someone you may well follow a set script, perhaps gaining the knowledge and confidence over each session to begin to adapt to the changes within the client. They will tend to work within the confines of scripts and set ways. A clinical hypnotherapist will learn further techniques for different inductions, deepeners, and more scripts for carrying out more clinical work with people. A master hypnotherapist has learnt the skills that has made them a hypnotherapist and then learned even more ways to get clients to relax deeply, working in a scriptless way to find the right solution for each specific client, making the hypnotherapy sessions even more powerful for each client.
Now I already knew that each of you are different, and go into trance differently too. I have usually tailored my sessions to make sure that you go into trance as easily and effortlessly as possible. I have learned even more ways to individualise your sessions to have even more great effect on your old problems.
Not only that, but I have been filled to overflowing with new ideas for ways to help you all. From personalised hypnotherapy CDs, tailored to you as an individual, to sessions on how to use metaphors, teaching stories, in your own lives and to help our children learn.
There are so many new ways I can help, and I’d love to hear from you as to exactly how I can help you right now.
